
Geisenheim Civil Flag, featuring current Coat of Arms
Traced back to the 17th century, the Mebruer (formerly Mehlbreuer) family later emigrated from the town of Geisenheim, Hessen to the United States in 1855, settling into Nashville, Illinois. From there, future generations ended up in St. Louis, Missouri, where they later purchased land in the Washington Township of Osage County.
