Christian Berensmeyer and Catharina Meschmeyers were married September 1, 1709, as recorded in batch number M99522-1 of the Germany-ODM system, film number 1052484 (Germany Marriages 1558 – 1929).  The exact length of the marriage is unknown, but according to church records from Saint Landolinus Catholic Church, Christian remarried eleven years later.  During their marriage, only one child is recorded to have been born and baptized at the church, Killian Berensmeyer.  His birth is recorded in batch number C99522-1 of the Germany-ODM system, film number 1052484 (Germany Births & Baptisms 1558-1898).

No additional information could be found for Killian or his mother.  It may be that both the mother and boy died not long after childbirth, or perhaps both died at some later date from illness or accident, as it would be another five years after Killian’s birth before Christian would remarry.

Following Catharina’s death, Christian married Clara Angela Weckers.  This marriage took place at the same Catholic church, it is recorded in batch number M99522-1 of the Germany-ODM system, film number 1052484 (Germany Marriages 1558-1929).  I could not find a baptismal record for Clara, though there were other such records for Weckers children at the church, all born around the same decade that Clara would have been born.

There were at least a few different sets of parents with the Weckers last name in Boke, Westfalen at the time.  The couple with the best chance of being Clara Angela’s parents are Conrad and Angela Maria Weckers.  Another possibility could be Heinrich and Clara Anna Weckers.  Johann and Anna Weckers could have been her parents, as they did have a daughter named Angela Weckers, but she was born in 1672 and therefore would have been 48 years old when she married Christian, meaning she would have given birth to children up until she was 55, an unlikely probability.

Christian fathered three children during this time, though the mother is not named on any of the records.  The children’s births are recorded in batch number C99522-1 of the Germany-ODM system, film number 1052484 (Germany Births & Baptisms 1558-1898).  Though I looked briefly for additional information about Christian’s children born to his second wife, I did not find any marriage or children information for Clara Anna or her sister Clara Angela.  His son with his second wife did turn up a marriage record, but I could not find any baptismal records for potential children born to his son’s marriage.

Christian Berensmeyer married his third and final wife in 1729.  He and Anna Maria Marcks were married at Saint Landolinus Catholic Church in Boke, Westfalen as recorded in batch number M99522-1 of the Germany-ODM system, film number 1052484 (Germany Marriages 1558 – 1929).  Her parents were not named in the marriage record and I could not find a definitive baptismal record for her.  There were Marcks, Marckes, and Markes all living in this area at the time, it’s difficult to say which was the correct spelling for her last name, her marriage record may or may not have recorded it accurately.

I was only able to find two records for children born to this couple, a Bernardus Henricus born on or slightly before October 21, 1732 and Johannes Bernardus born on or slightly before April 26, 1735.  Both were baptized at Saint Landolinus Catholic Church and their records are documented in batch number C99522-1 of the Germany-ODM system, film number 1052484 (Germany Births & Baptisms 1558 – 1898).  Anna Maria’s name does appear on both records with Christian’s, but her maiden name is still not given on either.
